Harvest 2014 can only be described by “Hurry Up and Wait”. It seemed when the weather was decent enough to harvest we were go-go-go, and there was always rain lingering in the forecast. At times there wasn’t rain in the forecast, yet we got rain. So then we had to wait. But on Friday night, October 10th at 11 pm we finished. To harvest the 1,000 acres that we seed to crop, it took us 5 weeks and 4 days. That’s not including the few weeks it took to swath.
